General information

Located to the North of the city, Birmingham Metropolitan College is one of the largest in the country. Its students come from all over the West Midlands. Some attend one of the college’s campuses while others are trained at their place of work.

History

Birmingham Metropolitan College has been providing education and training for over 100 years. The college has four Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs); including Business & Professional and Enterprise. It was recently awarded Part A of the Training Quality Standard and Part B in Engineering.

Role in the NSAFS

Birmingham Metropolitan College was granted lead training provider status for the National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS) for the West Midlands, in November 2007.

Its historical expertise and planned expansion will help to ensure employers in this sector have access to a growing, well-qualified workforce.

The Corporate Training Directorate at Birmingham Metropolitan College is one of the lead training providers to organisations throughout the region, offering flexible and tailored programmes to meet business needs.
