As part of the Cornwall College Group, Cornwall Business (CCB) is one of the leading providers of business training and development in the South West.

History

Cornwall College was one of the first colleges in England to be awarded the Training Quality Standard, which recognises responsiveness to employers’ needs and the ability to deliver business solutions.

Role in the NSAFS

Cornwall College is a training provider for the National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS) in the South West.

Cornwall College Business offers:

  • consultancy
  • Apprenticeships

By working closely with businesses, Cornwall College Business helps organisations:

  • understand employers’ development needs
  • identify how training can add value to their business
  • to get the skills needed to achieve their business aims

In recognition of a proven track record of working with employers, Cornwall College was appointed as a Deloitte Employability Centre in November 2007. The college is one of only nine employability centres in the UK, and the only one in the South West region.

This government backed initiative focuses on developing the combination of attitudes and behaviours that employers are looking for such as self management and business awareness that are the key to success in employment.
