Liverpool Community College
General information
Liverpool Community College has six main campuses across the city as well as twelve drop-in study centres in local neighbourhoods. Liverpool Business Services is the employer-to-employer brand of the college that provides tailored and customised courses for local businesses.
Liverpool Community College works with employers of differing sizes in a range of sectors. This includes national employer partners such as Haden Young, the BBC and the Tate gallery.
History
Liverpool Community College was created in 1992 following the merger of four further education colleges in the city of Liverpool.
Role in the NSAFS
Liverpool Community College became an approved National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS) training provider in December 2008.
The college currently works with a number of local financial services employers to identify the training and development needs of the sector and has developed an appropriate and responsive curriculum to ensure that these needs are met.
The college plans to continue expanding these relationships with further employers. This will include working with local schools to develop the academic opportunities for young people to pursue a career within the financial services sector.
