West Cheshire College is a leading vocational college with three main campuses located in Chester, Ellesmere Port and Capenhurst.

West Cheshire College’s £70 million commitment to build two new high quality campuses in Chester and Ellesmere Port will improve vocational opportunities for young people and adults and provide employers with an effective workforce.

History

West Cheshire College was established in 1948 when the existing provision of further education in the city was amalgamated into the Chester College of Further Education.

Role in the NSAFS

West Cheshire College is a training provider for the National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS) in the North West.

It plays a significant role in developing the local economy through securing better life chances for young people and offering opportunities to:

  • gain vocational skills
  • increase skills levels for adults
  • engage with employers to improve their business

The college has excellent links with local employers and works with them to improve the skills level of their workforce and plan ahead for future skill requirements.
