Benefits of being a training provider
Collaboration is key to our success
The National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS)’ key objective is to be the leading body for the development and delivery of education, skills and training solutions for the financial services sector. We seek to do this by working collaboratively through a network of training providers.
Our training providers deliver the NSAFS offer to employers and learners across England where they work together on a local, regional and national basis.
NSAFS training providers are chosen not because of who they are, but based on their ability to deliver an excellent training experience tailored to the needs of learners and employers.
Our providers can be:
- further education and higher education colleges
- commercial training companies
- individuals
- schools
We pride ourselves on how well we meet the needs of our learners, whether they are:
- thinking about a career in financial services
- just starting out
- wanting to branch out into new areas
- consolidating their knowledge and experience
Our providers benefit directly from:
A trusted brand
All appointed NSAFS training providers have been through our quality assurance processes. All appointments are approved by the Regional Director in their region.
Employer engagement
Our governance structure involves a large number of local, regional and national financial services employers of all sizes that cover all sectors of the industry.
Collaborative project work
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has chosen the NSAFS to be its delivery partner in bringing financial capability to further education colleges as part of its Money for LiFE project. By the end of this academic year we will have reached 30,000 learners in 75 colleges across England.
Pilot projects
Last year in London saw Money Week programmes in 27 colleges. In April financial services employers, learners, tutors, support staff and the Financial Services Authority (FSA) gathered at Mansion House in London to receive certificates from the Lord Mayor and stay for a scrumptious afternoon tea!
Provider conferences
In March 2009, the entire training provider network got together for the first time to take part in a two day collaborative event enabling them to get to know each other, discuss issues and to collaborate to help to drive forward both the vision and the operational model for the NSAFS.
The NSAFS is always happy to hear from providers who feel that they have what it takes to join the network. For more information on how to become involved, find out how you can become a training provider
