NSAFS appoints Chair of new National Employer Board
The newly appointed employer board of the National Skills Academy for Financial Services held its inaugural meeting and confirmed Tony Vine-Lott, Director General of Tisa (Tax Incentivised Savings Association) as its first Chair.
Sylvia Perrins, National Director of the Skills Academy said: “It is an important day in the history of the Skills Academy for Financial Services. Having appointed an extensive board, composed of senior industry figures from the many different strands of the financial services industry, we are now fully on course to take the Skills Academy forward to achieve our vision to ensure that the UK has a better educated financial services workforce.”
The Board has representatives from household names such as Lloyds TSB, Royal Liver Assurance and IBM; from industry regulator the Financial Services Authority; and from a range of influential firms from around the country including Calyon, Moneyfacts and EMXCo. Together with Tony Vine-Lott and the Skills Academy leadership, they will strive towards making the Skills Academy the leading body for the development and delivery of education, skills and training solutions for the financial services sector.
