As an employer-led educational charity which specialises in training and development solutions for the financial services industry, the National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS) prides ourselves on delivering excellence and we apply that high standard to the service we offer.

Our vision is to ensure that the UK has a better educated financial services workforce by being the leading body for the development and delivery of education, skills and training solutions for the sector. We do this by working with employers to develop a workforce with world class skills in a global industry. When developing people, we focus on three aims:

  1. Attracting new talent to the industry by ensuring that young people and career changers can access the right programmes to make them work ready. This includes training that is specific to financial services as well as leadership and management training with a holistic approach to fully developing the individual’s potential. This approach ensures that support is in place to strengthen numeracy, literacy, and IT skills if needed as well as providing employability skills and industry placements
  2. Raising the skills level of the existing workforce through the development of knowledge, understanding and application and by allowing employers to make the best use of in-house talent at all levels of the organisation
  3. Bringing financial capability or personal money management skills to learners in further education colleges across England. This reaches out to learners who may never choose to work in the industry but who throughout their lives will use financial products
