Teach Others

Teach Others is a companion course to Teach Me, delivered as part of the award-winning Lloyds Banking Group Money for Life Programme.

Teach Others is a 2-day course to enable those who are not qualified teachers – such as community or advice workers – to plan and facilitate financial capability sessions and workshops.

In order to be eligible for the course, participants need to have a good level of knowledge of financial services and products, either from completing the Teach Me course, an equivalent training programme, or through relevant work/ life experience.

Participants who successfully complete the course and pass the assessment will be awarded a nationally recognised level 3 qualification in Facilitating Adult Financial Capability accredited by the Open College Network.

Teach Others courses are held in towns and cities all over the UK.

What others have said about Teach Others

“It gives you the confidence to go out and deliver small group sessions.” Sian Hughes, Student Financial Support Assistant, Yale College (Wrexham)

“The Teach Others course has been really useful.  It’s given me plenty of ideas for delivering Application of Number to learners through financial contexts that are relevant to their workplace training and their wider everyday employability skills.” Kate Hall, Hairdressing Training Consultant, ISA Training (Pencoed)

“I’m already putting my learning to (hopefully good!) use – myself and a colleague have been asked to deliver a budgeting session as part of a Housing Education for Youth programme next week.” Maggie Lillie, Impact Arts (Edinburgh/ Glasgow)

“I attended the Teach Others sessions in Manchester.  I must say I thoroughly enjoyed them!  I work as an Information Advisor at Bury College.  So I deliver Powerpoint presentations to students regarding finance for University and CV workshops.  This workshop gave me the opportunity to rethink my training practice, and make the sessions more interactive.” Donna Gilchrist, Learner Services Information Advisor, Bury College (Bury)
