Investment management
What skills does the subsector need?
The investment banking subsector has many skills requirements for its employees including communication and interpersonal skills, numeracy, literacy, IT, analytical, and leadership and management skills. It also has to keep up with regulatory change and requirements that apply to the different job roles involved in investment banking.
As well as these, the subsector has numerous roles in sales and marketing, training, compliance, client services and IT which all come with their own skills needs.
The NSAFS offers a range of professional qualifications as well as training programmes answering “soft” skill needs to help investment banks achieve business excellence and help their employees to improve their personal performance through continued professional development.
