The National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS) brings together the best financial services training providers in a national network that offers employers a guarantee of consistently high-quality training and development.

The NSAFS sites are established within seven regions of the country which have a strong concentration of financial services companies.

Our regions have NSAFS training providers who can deliver not only in the region they are based in, but in other regions or nationally.

The NSAFS operates in the following regions:

• London

  The City of London has evolved into the fastest growing city in Europe and the world’s leading centre for international finance and business services. Despite the current challenges, it remains the financial centre of the world.

• East of England

  In the East of England region, Norwich has the largest concentration of financial services businesses and employment. There are also particularly strong clusters in parts of Essex and Hertfordshire as well as in larger towns and cities such as Ipswich and Peterborough.

• North West

  The financial services sector makes up 12 per cent of the total employment for the North West. The financial services sector’s continued development is seen as crucial in sustaining the regional economy.

• Yorkshire and Humber

  Yorkshire and the Humber has a strong concentration of financial services companies, particularly in the city of Leeds with a large number of companies and a wide range of different subsectors represented.

• South West

  The financial services sector provides 3.6 per cent of regional employment in the South West. Insurance and retail banking lead the subsector focus.
