Emily Vaughan is Project and Events Manager for the National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS). She works on projects such as the FSA Financial Capability project, the BIS Knowledge Transfer Pathfinder project and the ESF project to deliver leadership and management training to London small and medium-sized enterprises. She is also responsible for all (NSAFS) events.
Emily previously worked for the Financial Services Skills Council (FSCC), joining in December 2004 as an administration assistant.
From assisting with the administration of the National Occupational Standards for Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering, she moved up to the position of project manager, managing the Foundation Degree Framework amongst other projects.
She also worked with the NSAFS from May 2005, almost from its conception, supporting its initial establishment and then supporting the National Director, Sylvia Perrins, with its expansion.
Prior to working for the FSSC, Emily worked as finance and administration coordinator for Kipling UK.
Originally from Staffordshire, Emily graduated from Warwick University in 2000 with an honours degree in Comparative American Studies, during which she spent a year in Chile.
She moved to Madrid shortly after graduation and spent 18 months there before moving back to England and to London.
She took some time out at the end of 2007 to go travelling around Central and South America and rejoined the NSAFS in September 2008.
