David is an education consultant and is currently supporting the National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS) to lead the Knowledge Pathfinder project and tutoring on the NSAFS leadership and management programme.

Prior to establishing his own consultancy, David was responsible for setting up and leading the NSAFS at Orpington College, introducing financial services qualifications to the wider curriculum to provide a talent pool of new recruits. David has worked extensively with employers supporting both the Apprenticeship scheme and the leadership and management programme. David is also a part-time tutor in management at the Open University.

David has a LLB law degree from the University of London, an MSc in International Business Management from Birkbeck College (University of London), an MBA from the Open University and a PGCE from Greenwich University.

Before working at Orpington College, David worked for two city-based international trading companies in senior management roles where his area of expertise was trading with China in textiles, with a specific focus on silk.

He began work as an apprentice diamond mounter and jewellery designer at 16 and worked as a jeweller for six years before returning to full-time learning by doing a HND in business studies at South Bank University.

David’s professional areas of interest are organisational behaviour and helping young people access careers in financial services.
