Alison Bate joined the National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS) in 2008 as Business Development Manager.

Primarily project managing for the NSAFS leadership and management programme, Alison assists small to medium enterprises (SMEs) identify relevant skills gaps and the appropriate staff who will benefit from undergoing the programme. Successful learners will achieve the Institute of Leadership and Management Award in First Line Management.

Alison has an extensive 20 year background in Retail Financial Services, with both Royal Bank of Scotland and Abbey. During her career, her broad range of experience has covered all aspects of branch based banking and relationship management.

Alison has specialised more recently as Area Manager, where her experience in leading and managing various successful large teams, and imparting her knowledge to her branch managers has put her in good stead for her new role at the Skills Academy.

Alison has also worked in the Life industry and has the full Financial Planning Certificate to her credit.
