Paul Beesley
Paul Beesley is the Senior Manager for Operational Support, HR Resourcing & Engagement at Nationwide Building Society.
Before joining Nationwide in 2000, Paul worked in both the public and retail sectors, moving from operational management into learning and development specialist roles. Since then he has delivered in a number of roles, engaging employees in career management and training, to support our business success. Since 2003 he has led Nationwide’s successful accreditation in Investors in People. During this time Nationwide has received IIP Champion status as well as recognition with the much coveted IIP Gold Award.
Paul currently leads the Operational Support team in HR Resourcing and Engagement providing best value and service in our supplier management and all administration across all training and associated activities. Paul also leads our budget and performance management team, constantly looking for process efficiency and best value across the department in addition to providing essential performance management information.
Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and Chairman of the South West Regional Board of the National Skills Academy for Financial Services. Paul is also an Employer Representative with IIP South West, advising on the strategic direction of IIP in the South West and endorsing IIP assessment reports. Active within his local CIPD branch, Paul makes use of his training network to keep up to speed with best practise and latest thinking on people management issues. Outside interests include squash, sailing, gym and family activities too.
