BABINGTON BUSINESS COLLEGE

General information

Babington Business College, now a limited company, believes that specialised and work-relevant training will be as much in demand in the future as it is in the present. Having one body co-ordinating all aspects of training has proved to create clear advantages for both employers and students.

History

Babington Business College has been delivering training in financial services for over 30 years. The college was awarded CoVE status (Centre of Vocational Excellence) in 2002 becoming the first provider of financial services to achieve this status.

In 2008, it was awarded the Training Quality Standard in recognition of its responsiveness to employers’ training requirements; the fifth National Skills Academy for Financial Services training provider to achieve this.

Role in the Skills Academy

In 2008, Babington Business College became a Skills Academy training provider. By this time it was offering Apprenticeships in General Insurance across England.

The Skills Academy introduced the college to the Apprenticeships in Advising on Financial Products and to the retail banking route.
