City College Norwich
City College Norwich is one of the largest and most comprehensive colleges of further and higher education in the UK. We offer a very wide range of courses from Foundation Studies and entry level to post-graduate and professional qualifications – for school leavers, adults and businesses. We put learning at the centre of all our service delivery and strive for excellence in everything that we do.
The college has been awarded Centre of Vocational Excellence status in three areas: Accountancy and Financial Services, Hospitality and Catering and Computing and Networking (jointly with two other Norfolk colleges).
We have a large and strong Higher Education offer at the college – with over 1500 enrolments annually.
Unusually for a college, we also have a Research Centre which publishes on a diverse range of subjects on a regular basis. We also have Investors in People status and Matrix accreditation for our Information, Advice and Guidance Services and Customer First accreditation for Business First (our employer engagement unit).
City College occupies a large, attractive campus site on Ipswich Road, just ten minutes' walk from Norwich city centre. Most of our students come from Norfolk – and around half are from Norwich itself.
The college has excellent links with employers across the region, particularly in the financial services sector and several worldwide companies have operations in the city such as Norwich Union, Marsh, Central Trust, Moneyfacts and Virgin Money.
The college has worked closely with business leaders and the Norwich and Norfolk Financial Industry Group to develop a comprehensive range of training and qualifications to meet the needs of the financial services sector.
