Sponsorship opportunities
The Skills Academy’s success depends on the continued support and involvement from employers in the sector. Employer involvement is at the heart of the Academy’s approach. Employers bring:
- An understanding of businesses in the sector
- First hand knowledge of their education and training needs
- Financial resources
- A commitment to high quality skills education and training
- Fresh ideas, an enthusiasm for innovation and a challenge to traditional ways of thinking.
The importance of sponsorship to the Skills Academy
We need continued sponsorship from the industry, to lever in public funding of £5m in annual revenue funding. We are looking for 10-12 sponsors to join the National Skills Academy Board. Sponsors from the sector are vital in two respects:

They will become the nucleus of the employers and sector leaders who will drive the direction of the Skills Academy and the programmes it offers

They will contribute the start-up funding necessary to proceed and will provide the leverage needed to secure major continued public investment in the sector
Levels of sponsorship
There is flexibility in the nature and timing of contributions to accommodate different levels of involvement and different motivations of Skills Academy sponsors, whether you'd like to contribute to start-up and development costs or towards one of the regional centres; make a one-off contribution or invest over a number of years.
