National Employer Board
A distinguishing feature of National Skills Academies is that they are employer led. The National Skills Academy for Financial Services will be run with employers in a substantial majority on the National Board.
Employer Board members will be sponsors of the Academy (with limited and specific exemptions) and will represent the range of employers in the financial services sector, including sub-sector, large, medium and small enterprises.
Other key stakeholders will have representation such as the Financial Services Skills Council, provider representatives, the Learning & Skills Council and Regional Development Agencies. Some representatives will have observer status where appropriate. The Board will also aim to secure some expertise of particular relevant functions within the industry including staff recruitment and Training & Competence.
