As the National Director of the National Skills Academy for Financial Services, I am delighted to welcome you to this website.
The National Skills Academy for Financial Services is the new standard for excellence in training and skills education for our industry.
National Skills Academies are being implemented across a range of industries to support the development of a world-class workforce with better skills than ever before.
Our vision is that the National Skills Academy for Financial Services will deliver excellence in skills training and development, from entry level to retraining and continuing professional development, by putting employers at the heart of skills training.
Employers across the whole of financial services – large or small, from wholesale to retail – can influence the curriculum. They will ensure it reflects their needs and get involved in the leadership of the Skills Academy, helping to set standards and influence its strategic direction.
It’s easiest to explain the National Skills Academy vision in terms of the reassurance of a trusted brand: a brand which stands for excellence, both in content and delivery of financial services training and a brand designed by the industry for the industry. It can be applied to colleges, schools, universities and private training providers delivering Skills Academy products, as well as delivery within your workplace.
The Skills Academy brand will help people of all ages looking to enter the industry to identify the career opportunities available to them in financial services, as well as act as a trusted guide to the professional qualifications they will need to advance further.
